Within a week of having visited forward areas in Arunachal Pradesh, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Bipin Rawat, is now on a two-day visit to Ladakh to assess and review ground requirements of the force deployed at forward locations along the Line of Actual Control (LAC), the de facto boundary with China.
Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria visited high-altitude advanced landing strips in Ladakh today.
Troops of India and China are literally in eyeball to eyeball situation along the LAC since early May 2020.
General Rawat will be briefed by 14 Corps Commander Lt Gen PGK Menon and other commanders on the ground.
Earlier this month, Rawat visited forward airbases in Arunachal and interacted with soldiers of the Army, ITBP and Special Frontier Force deployed there.
