Couple killed, child hurt in Jammu road accident

A couple from Madhya Pradesh was killed and their 12-year-old son injured after a motorcycle collided with a truck near Jammu on Tuesday, officials said.

Bal Krishan (45) and his wife Anita (40), natives of Chhatarpur in Madhya Pradesh, were travelling on a motorcycle with their son when the accident occurred at the Gangyal bypass.

The couple, who were living in rented accommodation in Model Town, Gangyal, died on the spot. Their bodies were shifted to Government Medical College Hospital for post-mortem examination.

Their son was rescued and is undergoing treatment at the hospital, officials added.
