Devotees to get free ‘prasad’ at Mata Vaishno Devi shrine

In a move aimed at enhancing pilgrim facilities and enriching the spiritual experience, the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) on Sunday commenced the free distribution of prasad (sanctified sweet) to all devotees paying obeisance at the holy shrine.

With the launch of this initiative, the Board has introduced a specially designed pouch of prasad for convenient distribution among pilgrims.

Sachin Kumar Vaishya, Chief Executive Officer of the Board, stated that the free distribution began on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivaratri, which holds immense religious significance.

He said the distribution system has been carefully organised to ensure the smooth and convenient availability of prasad to pilgrims after darshan along the shrine’s exit route. He said through this initiative, the Board aims to provide a sacred token of blessings to every devotee.
