Terming the situation troubling, Lone said he has personally received distress calls from inhabitants of his constituency currently working in Arunachal Pradesh.
Highlighting that such migration has been a long-standing tradition for people of the district, Lone emphasised that their safety and dignity must be ensured at all costs by the Central Government.
He appealed to Union Home Minister Amit Shah to take urgent notice of the matter and intervene to guarantee the safety and well-being of the affected individuals. “It is a matter of deep concern that inhabitants of our district who traditionally go to other parts of the country are being harassed in Arunachal Pradesh. I got calls from inhabitants of my constituency,” Lone wrote on X.
