Reflecting on IIT Jammu’s journey, Dr Singh recalled its early days and credited the 2014 BJP government for ensuring Jammu received its rightful share in educational development. “I have witnessed IIT Jammu’s growth from its inception and today, it stands as a centre of excellence in education and innovation,” he said.

Encouraging students and faculty to embrace private-sector collaboration, he urged them to break away from skepticism and seek exclusive innovations. “IITians are pioneers in exploring new frontiers. The government is fully supportive and the opportunities are immense,” he remarked.

Dr Singh also highlighted key government initiatives such as Startup India and Aroma Mission, which have created equal socio-economic opportunities and drawn professionals into entrepreneurial ventures. “The ecosystem for innovation and startups is in place. It is now up to us to leverage it for India’s progress,” he said.

The IIT Jammu Expo 2025 served as a platform for knowledge-sharing, fostering scientific curiosity and encouraging India’s youth to drive technological advancements for the nation’s future.
