Jammu division railway official to receive ‘Ati Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar'
Uchit Singhal awarded for bringing improvements and innovations in commercial and passenger services in the division
Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Jammu, Uchit Singhal will be awarded the ‘Ati Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar (AVRSP) 2025’ by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for his outstanding work and dedication in the railways during the year 2025, an official spokesperson said.
He added the award is being given to Singhal for bringing improvements and innovations in commercial and passenger services in the Jammu Division during the year 2025.
After the formation of the Jammu Division in 2025, Uchit Singhal assumed charge as Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Jammu, on March 23, 2025. “Under his leadership, significant improvements were made in passenger amenities and operational efficiency in the Jammu Division. His significant contributions to the achievements of the Jammu Division include the successful operation of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) line, upgradation of passenger facilities and revenue generation, which have revitalised railway services,” the spokesperson said.
The ‘Ati Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar (AVRSP) 2025’ ceremony will be held on January 9 at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre in Delhi. About 100 employees from various railway zones and departments across the country will be felicitated.
