An earthquake of magnitude 3.5 jolted Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtwar district on Friday, officials said.

According to the National Centre of Seismology, tremors were felt at 9.57 am in the hilly district.

The depth of the earthquake was 10 km below the surface at latitude 33.289 degrees north and longitude 76.739 degrees east, it said.

No reports of any loss of life or damage to property were received from anywhere in the Union Territory till the filing of this report.
