Srinagar, June 14

Militants opened fire at a security forces’ patrol party in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday. No casualty was reported in the incident, the police said.

“Terrorists fired upon a patrolling party of security forces at Khushipora-Achabal in Anantnag district,” a police official said.

Two days ago, terrorists had opened fire at security men in Sopore, killing two policemen and two civilians. The attack had left three others injured. — PTI
