Parihar brothers’ murder: NIA nabs key conspirator

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested the key conspirator in the Parihar brothers’ killing case.

New Delhi, July 28

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested the key conspirator in the Parihar brothers’ killing case.

Officials in the agency said 51-year-old Malik Noor Mohd Fayyaz was arrested from Phagsoo village in Doda. They said it came to light that Fayyaz was a conspirator in reviving terrorism in the Chenab valley, maintaining he visited Assam and Nagaland along with slain Hizbul terrorist Osama-bin-Javid for procuring weapons for the purpose.

Fayyaz, who was also found to be instrumental in motivating and recruiting gullible Muslim youths to join the Hizb cadres, was produced in the NIA Special Court, Jammu, today and taken in NIA custody for three days. Anil Kumar Parihar and his brother Ajit, residents of Kishtwar, were shot by unknown assailants on November 1, 2018. — TNS
