Police launch probe after video shows pro-Pak posters in Doda
Reportedly featured the name of Pakistan’s Army Chief Asif Munir along with a Pakistani flag
Police have launched an investigation after a video showing a Pakistan-linked poster being pasted on a wall in Doda district went viral on social media.
The poster reportedly featured the name of Pakistan’s Army Chief Asif Munir along with a Pakistani flag and was geo-tagged to a location in Doda.
However, no such poster was found when police reached the site. An FIR has been registered and investigations are underway.
Doda DSP Krishan Rattan said the content on the poster was objectionable and could have caused unrest. “We have started an investigation into the incident. We did not find any poster at the site but the police are investigating if this was actually the same place where it was shown on the social media,” he said.
He added that the possibility of the video being manipulated using Artificial Intelligence is also being examined. “We have registered an FIR. The investigation is in initial stage,” he said.
