At least 40 persons tested positive for Covid, among them a pregnant woman, on Friday, taking the total caseload in J&K to 1,489.

“In J&K, 40 new positive cases have been reported; 07 from Jammu and 33 from Kashmir,” reads the media bulletin on novel coronavirus.
Also 36 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals, it said.
Shopian reported 18 fresh cases, Samba four, Baramulla and Kupwara three each, two cases each in Rajouri, Pulwama, Anantnag, and Srinagar, and one each in Kulgam, Bandipora, Budgam, and Poonch districts. — TNS
