New Delhi, October 13
Amid massive counter-offensive against terrorists in the UT after the recent spate of civilian killings, sources said security review would be high on agenda during Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s upcoming visit to J&K. The dates for the visit have been tentatively fixed for October 23-25.
Besides the usual outreach programme, the Home Minister will hold extensive security review meetings with senior functionaries of the UT administration and security forces, including J&K Police, sources said.
They said Shah was likely to lay the foundation stone for a metro project in Srinagar and visit Pulwama where the foundation-laying for AIIMS will be done. The minister would also witness cultural and Sufi programmes during the visit, they added.
