Terrorist trying to infiltrate into J-K’s Poonch killed

New Delhi, August 30

An armed terrorist who was trying to infiltrate into Jammu and Kashmir from across the Line of Control (LoC) has been shot dead by security forces in Poonch on Monday.

Army troops detected the infiltration bid. On being challenged by the Army troops, a gunfight ensued with the terrorist.

The terrorist was killed, and his body along with an AK-47 rifle was recovered, a spokesperson of the Army said.

The operation is still in progress.
