Will bury terrorism, none will be able to revive it: Amit Shah in Kishtwar
Slams Cong-NC alliance, questions their ‘promise of releasing terrorists’
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday said there were attempts to revive terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir, and added that it will be “buried to such a level” in the Union territory that it can never rise again.
He also warned the terrorists operating in Jammu region to return to Pakistan if they want to live.
“Those who have intentions to spread terror here... there is still time, go back, otherwise the Indian Army and security forces will kill you right here,” Shah said.
Shah addressed three rallies in Kishtwar and Ramban districts for the first phase of election to be held on September 18. “Today, I promise to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, including this region, that we will bury terrorism so deep that it will never come out” he said.
Shah also accused the National Conference and Congress alliance of making the promise to release terrorists if they come to power. “Like in 1990, efforts are being made today to strengthen terrorism here again. The NC and the Congress have made some promises that if their government comes to power, they will release the terrorists. Today, I tell you people that this is Modi’s government and no one has the courage to spread terrorism on Indian soil,” he said.
He also remembered RSS leader Chandrakant Sharma who was killed by terrorists in 2019 and Ajit Parihar and Anil Parihar (brothers) who were killed in 2018. Daughter of Ajit, Shagun Parihar is the BJP candidate from Kishtwar seat.
Shah also reminded that the Assembly election is clearly between two forces. “This election is between two powers, on one side National Conference and PDP and on the other BJP. The NC-Congress are saying that if we form the government we will restore Article 370. I want to tell you, that the reservation that Paharis and Gujjars have secured could not have been given if there was Article 370,” Shah said.
Paharis and three other communities, including Gadda Brahmin, Koli and Padari got reservation in jobs and education under ST category early this year. Gujjars who were already enjoying 10 per cent quota under ST resented the move after which their reservation was separated from that of the four groups.
“On the one hand, the NC and Congress want to make J&K a terror-ridden region while on the other hand PM Narendra Modi wants to make a 'developed Kashmir'. They (NC-Congress) want to end the reservation given to women after the abrogation of Article 370, while Modi wants to give reservation rights to Gujjars, Paharis, Dalits and OBCs along with women,” said Shah.
