‘No takers for Referendum 2020 in Punjab’

Phillaur: State Congress General Secretary Vikramjit Singh Chaudhary forewarned against the recent developments taking place in and outside the country regarding the agenda of separatist organisations like Sikhs for Justice.

While leading a protest in Phillaur, Chaudhary vehemently opposed the demand for a separate state of Punjab as proposed by the organisation. He said the vested interest of such organisations was to disrupt the harmony and integrity of the Nation at large and Punjab in particular. He said such organisations had no base and were just a bunch of few individuals who wanted to perpetuate conflict in Punjab. They enjoyed support of terrorist organisations around the world and were dependent on them for funding.

He also reiterated the firm resolve of Capt Amarinder Singh and his government in crushing down any such disruptive movement that intends to put harmony and peace of the state in jeopardy. He exposed the nefarious plans and agenda of such organisations in front of the youth and asked them to never succumb to this kind of negative and dangerous agenda.

The protest was marked by a solemn resolve to uphold the sovereignty and integrity of the nation.—OC
