Phagwara: The police have booked five persons, identified as Santosh, Amit, Raja, Sukha and Opinder, all resident of Sham Nagar under Sections 323, 324, 506, 148 and 149 of the IPC on the charge of threatening to kill Ajay Yadav, a resident of the same locality, on October 8. OC
Bike stolen in malpota village
Phagwara: On a complaint by Amarjit Singh, a resident of Malpota village, the police have registered a case under Section 379 of the IPC against Deepak Yadav, a resident of Rama Mandi, on the charge of stealing his motorcycle last month. The incident took place around 20 days ago but the police registered the case on Saturday. OC
Jewellery items, Rs 1 lakh stolen
Phagwara: Jammu resident Shahi Devi’s purse containing Rs 1 lakh, gold jewellery over Rs 1.5 lakh and seven mobile phones was stolen during a marriage function of her son at Grand Kings Resorts near Phagwara on Thursday. The police were informed about the incident following which a case under Section 380 of the IPC was registered. OC

Phagwara: Dharam Singh, a resident of Guru Nanakpura locality, in his complaint to the police said that his Alto car (PB-9AD-1270) was stolen from his house on October 10. The police have registered a case under Section 379 of the IPC and started investigation. OC
