150 engineers inducted as constables in Punjab Police

Kapurthala, September 13

As many as 150 B Tech and M Tech pass-outs were among those who got inducted as constables in the Punjab Police after a passing out parade at Kapurthala in-service training centre.

A contingent of 257 constables completed their nine-month police training under commandant Rajpal Singh Sandhu. IG Intelligence Ram Singh participated in the passing out parade of these trainees and took salute from the trainees.

Addressing the new recruits, Ram Singh advised the passing out constables to discharge their duties with honesty and diligence. He said centre had imparted practical training to more than 60,000 police personnel since its inception in 1993.

The training centre Commandant Sandhu said physical exercise, drill, weapon-handling training, shooting besides knowledge in law, IT and Intelligence were a part of the training curriculum.—TNS
