A public facilitation camp, organised by the district administration on Friday under the Mahatma Gandhi Sarbat Vikas Yojna (MGSVY) at Rajowal village, received good response as 166 persons registered themselves for availing benefits of various schemes of the state government.
The camp was inaugurated by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Kulwant Singh.
The camp was organised to provide citizen-centric services to residents at their doorsteps, aimed at facilitating people for getting benefits of pro-people schemes of the state government under a single roof.
All key departments of the state government, including Health and Family Welfare, Social Security, Agriculture, Cooperative, Employment Generation and Revenue, are roped in to deliver services to residents during these camps in which special stalls are installed by them.
Addressing the gathering during the mega camp, Singh said the initiative was a unique effort of the state government to offer a single platform to people for availing benefits of the government schemes.
He also apprised people of salient features of the MGSVY and exhorted them to take maximum benefit of the scheme, aimed at welfare of all.
