Two youths died in a collision between a scooter and a motorcycle on the Phagwara-Dosanjh Kalan road here on Thursday evening.

Vikramjit Singh was riding the scooter with Samar on the pillion. Both were residents of Dosanjh Kalan and were travelling towards Phagwara.

The collision was so severe that both sustained critical injuries.

Locals and passers-by rushed them to Gandhi Hospital, Phagwara, where they were referred to Dayanand Medical College and Hospital, Ludhiana.

Hospital sources said Samar was declared brought dead while Vikramjit succumbed to his injuries later.

Police said a case has been registered. The vehicles involved in the accident have been impounded.
