Shiv Sena (UBT) demonstrated its growing strength in Phagwara on Thursday, as more than 200 youngsters joined the organisation during a programme addressed by Punjab unit president Yograj Sharma. Sharma arrived in Phagwara amid an enthusiastic reception by party workers, who welcomed him with flower garlands.
During interactions with party members, Yograj Sharma held discussions on strengthening and expanding the organisation in Punjab.
Addressing the gathering, he said Shiv Sena (UBT) would emerge as a strong voice of the Hindu community in the state.
He said the community was feeling “politically neglected”, and assured the gathering that Shiv Sena (UBT) would raise its voice firmly against it, safeguarding the rights of Hindus without discrimination.
Sharma described Shiv Sena (UBT) as a nationalist force committed to protecting Hindu interests, and urged the youth to actively spread the party’s ideology among the masses.
State general secretary Gurdeep Singh Saini, in his address, said Shiv Sena (UBT) was continuously working to strengthen India’s unity, integrity and Hindu-Sikh brotherhood.
