In its drive against vector-borne diseases under ‘Tandarust Punjab mission’ in the district, the anti-larvae cell of the Health Department spotted 22 Dengue larvae cases in various areas of the city on Monday.
Six teams led by Sanjiv Kumar, Raj Kumar, Balwinder Singh, Sarbjeet, Bakhshish Singh and Gurpal Singh carried out the checking at Kabir Nagar, Khurla Kingra, Basti Bawa Khel, Abadpura, ESI hospital and Guru Gobind Singh Stadium.
During the checking, the team members found 17 cases in Kabir Nagar and five in Basti Bawa Khel. The team also issued three challans in Kabir Nagar.
They also carried out spray in 205 rooms of these localities. The team also distributed 1,000 chlorine tablets.
