25-year-old labourer ends life

JALANDHAR: A 25-year-old migrant labourer committed suicide at Lovely Autos showroom on late Saturday night.

Jalandhar, June 23

A 25-year-old migrant labourer committed suicide at Lovely Autos showroom on late Saturday night. The deceased has been identified as Lallan, who was residing at Lovely Sweets workshop with his brother. After receiving the information, ASI Lakhwinder reached the spot and said Lallan committed suicide around 11 pm. He hanged himself with a white cloth at the third floor of the showroom that is located at Nakodar Chowk.

SHO Kamaljit Singh at police division number 4 said: “Before hanging himself, Lallan was watching the match with his friends at the showroom and no exact reason for committing suicide was established.” The body was sent to his native place in Gaya, Bihar, after the post-mortem. The SHO said Lallan was working as a cleaner at the showroom and his friends told that he was very quiet and upset for the past three days. He was married for the past three years and had no kids.
