759 patients benefit from free of cost AYUSH camp

With the objective of promoting traditional systems of medicine and providing accessible healthcare at the grassroots level, a free AYUSH Ayurvedic and Homeopathic medical camp was organised at Gurdwara Sahib Guru Ravidas in village Palahi. The camp was held under the guidance of the Directorate of Ayurveda, Punjab, and the leadership of District Ayurvedic and Unani Officer, Kapurthala, Dr Kusum Gupta.

The camp was formally inaugurated by Dr Kusum Gupta, who highlighted the importance of Ayurveda and Homeopathy in maintaining a healthy lifestyle and preventing diseases without adverse side effects. During the camp, Dr Sunita Kumari informed the gathering that Ayurvedic and Homeopathic medicines are safe and generally free from side effects.

A wide range of ailments were examined and treated at the camp, including fever, cough, stomach-related disorders, joint pain, diabetes, blood pressure, gynaecological problems, as well as diseases related to the nose, ears, and eyes. Patients were thoroughly examined, counselled and provided free medicines as per their medical needs.

The response to the camp was overwhelming, with a total of 759 patients availing medical services. Of these, 427 patients received treatment under the Ayurvedic system, while 332 patients benefited from Homeopathic treatment, reflecting the growing public trust in AYUSH systems of medicine.
