80 patients attend free medical camp in Phagwara

In an initiative aimed at promoting preventive healthcare, a free medical camp was organised at Orthocare Hospital, where more than 80 patients were provided with free check-ups, diagnostic tests and medicines. The camp focused on screening for blood sugar, uric acid levels and Bone Mineral Density (BMD), drawing a significant response from the local community.

During the camp, Dr Kanav Tandon advised patients on maintaining healthy bones and joints, emphasising the importance of regular exercise along with the consumption of milk and curd as part of a balanced diet. He highlighted that lifestyle changes play a crucial role in preventing orthopaedic issues. Dr Anil Tandon, while addressing diabetic patients, stressed the need for regular medication, strict avoidance of excessive sugar intake and routine monitoring of blood sugar levels to effectively manage the condition and prevent complications.

Dr Varsha Tandon, MD, conducted free diagnostic tests and encouraged patients to undergo regular blood examinations to ensure early detection of potential health issues. Expressing gratitude towards the attendees, Dr Meenu Tandon, Ex-SMO, thanked the patients for their participation and informed that such free medical camps would continue to be organised regularly in the future to serve the community.
