961 villages to get a facelift
Jalandhar, December 8
The state government will soon initiate development works worth Rs41.46 crore to give a facelift to 961 villages of the district under the Smart Village Campaign.
DC Varinder Kumar Sharma said an elaborate mechanism had been devised for the smooth and efficient execution of development works under the campaign in the villages.
Sharma said it would give a fillip to the overall development of the villages, besides ensuring prosperity of people. Meanwhile, ADCKulwant Singh said the flawless execution of the work will be monitored through a SVC mobile app, which would be launched by the Chief Minister. — TNS
