Address issues of industries: DC directs officials

Deputy Commissioner Dr Himanshu Aggarwal on Monday directed officials from various departments to prioritise and resolve issues faced by different industries in the region.

During a meeting at the District Administrative Complex with officials from various departments, including the Labour and Employment Bureau, Excise and Taxation, Municipal Corporation Jalandhar, JDA, Deputy Director of Factories, GM DIC, Revenue Department, Police, PWD, and PSPCL, the Deputy Commissioner discussed in detail the demands and issues related to various industries.

Dr Aggarwal instructed the officials concerned to take appropriate action within 10 days and submit a report at the DC office. He emphasised that immediate steps should be taken to resolve difficulties faced by the industries, especially on the district level. He also instructed that problems related to roads, sewage, lights, water and cleanliness in industrial areas should be addressed promptly.

Present at the meeting were GM DIC Deep Singh Gill, Functional Manager DIC Manjit Singh Lali, Additional Commissioner Municipal Corporation Amarjit Bains and other officials.
