A detailed discussion was held by the board on various ongoing schemes across the state and work plans. During this, Ramandeep Singh shared information about the village development schemes running through khadi institutions and the Prime Minister's Employment Generation Program (PMEGP).

Ahluwalia said the village industry sector has received new direction in Punjab. He said this sector not only strengthens the rural economy, but also creates large-scale employment opportunities for the youth. He said khadi is not just a fabric, but a symbol of self-reliance, Swadeshi, and rural development. By promoting rural industries, the overall development of Punjab can be accelerated.

In a unique gesture of promoting education, books and notebooks were presented instead of a bouquet to Gagandeep Ahluwalia upon his joining by Nitin Kohli and OSD Ghumman instead of the usual flower bouquets.
