The police have registered a case against Sheetal Mattu, alias Seeta, Ritu, Pooja, Gejo, Aagu and around 15 to 20 unidentified persons following an armed attack and theft incident reported from Aadhi village under the Nakodar Sadar police station.

According to the police complaint filed by Paramjit Singh, the accused allegedly attacked him and his wife with weapons leaving them injured. The assailants also allegedly broke open an almirah and stole Rs 50,000 in cash before fleeing from the spot.

In another incident, the police registered a case against unknown persons following a theft reported from Bahmania village near Shahkot.

According to a complaint filed by Gurmail Singh, unidentified persons allegedly broke into his shop and stole DJ equipment, silver utensils around 10 large golden dishes and other tent material before escaping from the spot. The police have initiated an investigation to identify and arrest the accused involved in the theft.
