In a proactive move against drug abuse, the Punjab State Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar, under the guidance of Harpal Singh, District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman of the District Legal Services Authority, Kapurthala, has initiated an extensive awareness campaign targeting youth in the district.

Following the directives of Hardejeet Singh, Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, Kapurthala, the campaign is scheduled to run from December 6, 2025, to January 6, 2026. The initiative aims to educate young people about the dangers of drug consumption and encourage community participation to curb this growing social threat.

To ensure the campaign’s effective implementation, Hardejeet Singh engaged with officials from various government departments, including the District Education Officer (Secondary and Primary), Block Development and Panchayat Officers, Additional Director of Youth Services, District Youth Officer, In-charge of De-addiction Centre.
