Bike rally against Indo-US trade deal

Members of the Kirti Kisan Morcha Sangharsh Committee (KMSC), led by district president Sarwan Singh Baupur, on Tuesday organised a motorcycle rally to protest the proposed Indo-US trade deal.

Around 200 members, riding nearly 100 motorcycles, participated in the rally, which commenced from the Grain Market in Sultanpur Lodhi and concluded at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office complex in Kapurthala.

During the protest, representatives of the organisation submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner, demanding the immediate cancellation of the proposed Indo-US trade agreement. The protesters expressed concerns over the potential impact of the deal and urged the government to withdraw it.

THE TRIBUNE is free, objective, and independent. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language, are the hallmarks of the paper.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
