Blood bank holds 205th ration camp in Phagwara

Continuing its long-standing humanitarian initiative, Blood Bank Guru Hargobind Nagar, Phagwara, on Saturday organised its 205th monthly ration distribution camp to support needy families. The programme was held under the guidance of the organisation’s patron KK Sardana and the supervision of its president, Malkiat Singh Ragbotra, with noted social worker Ramesh Gaba attending as the chief guest.

During the camp, essential ration items were distributed to women from economically weaker families. The guests and volunteers present on the occasion appreciated the consistent social service efforts being undertaken by the blood bank, describing the initiative as a meaningful contribution towards supporting vulnerable sections of society. Addressing the gathering, Malkiat Singh Ragbotra said the ration distribution programme has been running uninterrupted for nearly 18 years, with assistance being provided every month to families in need. He also informed that the next ration distribution camp will be organised on February 16.

Ragbotra expressed gratitude to all donors and supporters for their continued cooperation, including Rajinder Singh Kochhar (Khandwale), Ramesh Gaba, Ramesh Duggal, Manish Batra, Tara Chand Chumber, Vishwamitra Sharma, Avtar Singh Kochhar, Rajiv Kumar (Marble Resort), NRI Satpal Verma, Raman Nehra and advocate Ankit Dhingra. Several volunteers and community members, including Tara Chand Chumber, Mohan Lal Taneja, Raman Nehra and Sudha Bedi, were also present at the event.
