Campus notes: Parkash Purb celebrated
Jalandhar: Lyallpur Khalsa College for Women celebrated the Parkash Purb of Guru Gobind Singh. The students and college staff observed the bhog ceremony of Sehaj Paath, under the blessings and guidance of president of the Governing Council, Balbir Kaur. Principal Dr Navjot, in her address, stated that the instructions imparted by the Gurus should not only be recited but followed. She also emphasised that the college has the tradition of organising Gurpurabs. Langar is also served during the celebrations. She also enlightened the students about the Sikh martyrdom and said that in the present scenario when the youth is affected by drugs, unemployment and stress it is the need of the hour to seek inspiration from the Gurus. The staff prepared langar and it was distributed among all.
Farewell for Plus Two students
Innocent Heart School, Noorpur branch, bid an emotional and grand farewell to the outgoing Class 12 students at a vibrant celebration. The event was graced by school director Meenakshi Sharma, principal Jasmeet Bakshi. Pre-primary school in-charge Pooja Rana extended blessings and best wishes to the students for a bright future.The farewell featured a series of dazzling performances and a lively modelling round that captivated the audience. The highlight of the event was the announcement of special titles. Prahlad was crowned Mr Innocent, while the title of Miss Innocent was awarded to Hisham.
Workshop for innovators
The DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology (DAVIET), in collaboration with IKG Punjab Technical University (PTU), organised the ‘Empowering Grassroots Innovators of Punjab – GRIP 3.0’ workshop. The event aimed to inspire innovation, entrepreneurship and a scientific mindset among Punjab’s youth, equipping them to address real-world challenges. Dr Ashok Kumar highlighted GRIP 3.0 as a transformative movement to empower grassroots innovators, while Dr MK Kaushik emphasised on sustainable agricultural practices.
