Jalandhar: Ivy World School conducted a workshop to help students prepare for the board examinations. The workshop was attended by all students and educators. The prime focus of the workshop was to cater to the need of students appearing in the board examinations and share tips and techniques with the educators to assist students in preparing for the exams. Manju Gupta guided the students and teachers. She shared smart tips and revision techniques with the students and laid stress on time management. A suggestive time schedule was also shared with them. Director Aditi Vasal said board examinations were a major milestone in every student’s life, and the pressure could feel overwhelming. However, with the right planning, preparation and strategies, students could turn the challenging time into a successful experience, she added.

Farewell ceremony

Jalandhar: Innocent Hearts School, Loharan, bid farewell to the outgoing Class XII students. The ‘Hasta la Vista’ event was graced by Sharmila Nakra, deputy director, cultural affairs; Dheeraj Banati, deputy director, expansion, Affiliation, Planning and Implementation; and Shallu Sehgal, principal. They extended their blessings and best wishes to the students for their bright future. The farewell featured a series of dazzling performances. The highlight of the event was the announcement of special titles. Bhavesh was crowned ‘Mr Innocent’, while ‘Miss Innocent’ was awarded to Yukti. Akshdeep bagged the title of ‘Handsome Hunk’ and Mishti got picked as ‘Ms Pleasing Personality’.

Sahit Kala Kendra awards

Jalandhar: Sahit Kala Kendra, in collaboration with the postgraduate Punjabi department of Lyallpur Khalsa College, presented the 9th Ghadri Bhai Santokh Singh Dhardio Award 2025 to political thinker Jagroop Singh Sekhon. Sekhon is also a former professor and head of the department of political science at Guru Nanak Dev University. Amarjit Singh Sidhu was the chief guest. The function was attended by the college principal Jaspal Singh, Jagir Singh Kahlon and Bhupinder Singh Malli. The president of the Sahit Kala Kendra, Gopal Singh Buttar, explained the importance of this event and shared information about the personalities associated with this honour. Gurmeet Singh, Jagir Singh Kahlon, S Bhupinder Singh, Jatinder Singh Pammi and Jasvir Singh were honoured by the college.

Placement-oriented programme

Jalandhar: To bridge the gap between academic learning and career readiness, DAV College, in partnership with NIIT Foundation and Infosys Foundation, launched the Professional Edge Programme for the final-year students. The 60-hour online training programme was tailored to give students the skills, confidence and industry insights needed to secure top placements with some of the leading companies across India.
