Manoj Kumar Chauhan, a member of the Central Monitoring Committee of the Prime Minister Adarsh Gram Yojana (PMAGY), today visited Jalandhar and met Deputy Commissioner Jaspreet Singh to take stock of the implementation of the scheme.
No streetlights, Internet at Wariana
Manoj Kumar Chauhan, a member of the Central Monitoring Committee of the PMAGY, said the Internet facilities and streetlights were almost next to non-existent at Wariana village. He also said due to only one toilet at the village school, boys and girls had to face many difficulties.
He, along with the District Welfare Department staff, visited Wariana village and sought information about the PMAGY’s fund use there. Chauhan inspected the anganwari, cremation grounds, schools and interlocking tiles at the village. He said the Internet facilities, streetlights were almost next to non-existent at the village. He also said due to only one toilet at the school, boys and girls at the schools had to face many difficulties. He also instructed the school staff to get two toilets constructed at the school as soon as possible.
Manoj Chauhan also instructed the DC to ensure strict action against illegal colonies and buildings at the villages under the PMAGY scheme. Chauhan said he also met the MC Commsioner by visiting the Municipal Corporation and directed him to get strict against illegal colonies. On the occasion, Chauhan was accompanied by legal adviser Yogesh Prasad among others.
