Chabbewal MLA felicitates football team for winning gold

In the 45th Inter-District Primary Football Tournament held in Ludhiana, the team from district Hoshiarpur delivered an outstanding performance and brought glory to the district by winning the gold medal. On this remarkable achievement, Chabbewal MLA Dr Ishank Kumar invited the players to his residence, welcomed and honoured them and extended his best wishes for their bright future.

Dr Ishank Kumar spent his entire morning with these champion girls. Celebrating their victory, he hosted a special breakfast treat to them and engaged in heartfelt conversations with the players. He encouraged them to maintain hard work, discipline and true sportsmanship. He stated that winning a gold medal at the state-level competition is a matter of pride for the entire district. He congratulated the district administration, the sports department and the education department officials for this achievement.

The MLA further said that due to the efforts of the Aam Aadmi Party government, sports activities in Punjab have gained new momentum, especially with a significant rise in the participation of girls. He informed that grants of worth Rs 9 crore have been issued for development works of sports stadiums and grounds in various villages of the Chabbewal constituency.
