Chief Justice opens court complex virtually

The new Judicial Court Complex, Mukerian, was inaugurated today virtually by the Chief Justice of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, Justice Sheel Nagu.
Justice Gurmeet Singh Sandhawalia of the High Court and chairman of the Building Committee and other judges were present. Justice Manjari Nehru Kaul and Managing Judge of Session Division, Hoshiarpur, attended the inauguration ceremony. She also visited various sections of the new complex along with District and Session Judge, Hoshiarpur, Dilbagh Singh Johal, DC Komal Mittal, SSP Surendra Lamba and judicial officers.
Inaugurating the two-storey complex equipped with the state-of-the-art facilities built at a cost of about Rs 15.26 crore on six acres, Chief Justice Sheel Nagu said the complex was a ray of hope for residents of Mukerian to get justice.
He said with this complex, the judicial process would improve. He said this complex would bring efficiency in the judicial structure of the area.
Justice Sandhawalia said the complex was a gift for them. Justice Manjari Nehru Kaul said the construction of the new building would speed up the judicial process in Mukerian.
Justice Johal said four court rooms, three judicial residences, a mediation centre, front office, library, canteen, bar rooms, video-conferencing system and other modern facilities had been made available in this complex.
