Congress gave much honour to Santosh, now she should honour high command decision: Arora

The Congress party has given a lot of honour to Santosh Chaudhary and her family is always well-respected by the party. Now, she should come forward to honour the decision of party high command by helping Congress Candidate Dr Raj Kumar in the campaigning to ensure party’s victory. Local MLA-cum-Industries Minister Sunder Sham Arora said this while addressing a joint press conference held at the District Congress Committee office by MLAs and constituency in-charges) of the Assembly segment of Hoshiarpur Lok Sabha seat.

It was a show of solidarity on the name of this first ever press conference after Congress declaring MLA Raj Kumar as the LS candidate, although Santosh Chaudhary remained absent. Arora said that the party is like mother, so that all its decisions are valid and should be respected. Responding to the questions of the journalists, Arora said that the party has given the ticket after a thorough survey and after considering all the aspects. In response to a question he said that party candidate Dr. Raj has told him that he had gone to Santosh Chaudhary’s residence to meet her but Santosh Chaudhary’s staff present at her residence had returned him saying that she was not at home.He said, “Now we all will go together to meet Santosh Chaudhary to bring her with us as she’s integral part of our family and we are sure that she will come with us and join us.She will soon be here with us,”said Arora.

He told that nomination will be filed by Dr. Raj Kumar on April 23.Arora claimed that the promises made during the assembly elections are being completed rapidly. Party Candidate Dr. Rajkumar addressing the press conference started with thanking the party high command,MLAs, Constituency incharges and district Congress said, “It was after 44 years that I had brought the Chabbewal (earlier It was Mahilpur) assembly to the party’s fold winning the seat and now it’s the Hoshiarpur LS Constituency’s turn.

He said that the work which has not been done for last 44 years in Chabbewal, has been got done in these two years. He said that it is a matter of great pleasure for the residents of the area that the government college is going to be established at Chabbewawal. During this, he also provided detailed information about the works of the crores of rupees in the assembly segment. Answering the questions, Dr. Raj said that his priority would be to bring the industry here to get the youth of the Kandi area employed. He said that if he gets an opportunity, he will not leave any stone unturned to take his area forward.

On this occasion, Dr. Kuldeep Nanda, President of District Congress Committee, former Member of Rajya Sabha, Varinder Singh Bajwa, MLAs Sangat Singh Giljian, Pawan Adia, Arun Dogra Mikki, Balwinder Singh Ladi, President of District Women Congress Taranjit Sethi, Balvir Rani Sodhi Phagwara, Former Minister Joginder Singh Mann, MLA Mukerian’s son Advocate Savyasachi, Raman Vicky from Bholath, District Congress Vice President Rajneesh Tandon was also present.
