Sultanpur Lodhi police successfully traced and recovered two minors, aged 13 and 14, who had gone missing from their home under mysterious circumstances.
The incident, reported by their family on November 30, triggered an immediate response by the Sultanpur Police, prompting a coordinated search operation led by SHO Sushil Kumar.
Acting swiftly on the complaint, the police mobilised teams and adopted a multi-layered strategy utilising technical surveillance, mobile tracking, and CCTV footage to identify the children’s movement and possible location. Their mobile phones, found switched off, initially posed a challenge for the investigators; however, consistent follow-ups and data analysis eventually guided authorities to a breakthrough.
The minors were located safe, bringing immense relief to the distressed family. Upon recovery, police officials counseled the children, ensuring their emotional well-being before formally handing them back to their parents.
The police emphasised that counseling in such cases is crucial to prevent future incidents and to support families navigating emotional strain. The family expressed gratitude to the Sultanpur police force for their prompt action and sensitive handling of the case.
SSP Kapurthala Gaurav Toora reaffirmed his commitment to public safety and urged parents to maintain open communication with children and seek timely support when needed, as proactive cooperation between citizens and police remains essential for securing vulnerable individuals, especially minors.
