Covid: 65 new cases in Jalandhar district

Jalandhar, August 5

As many as 76 Covid cases were reported in Jalandhar on Friday. With this, the district Covid tally has increased to 80,069. A total of 77,701 persons have recovered from the disease in the district, while the number of active cases is 420. The district toll is 1,948 in Jalandhar.

Meanwhile, Kapurthala reported 19 new Covid cases on Friday. The district tally has increased to 24,217. Also, one new death due to Covid was reported today. The deceased has been identified as 38-year-old man of Ranipur village of Panchat block in Kapurthala. The number of deaths due to the virus in the district is 594.
