DLSA holds medical camp at Kapurthala Modern Jail

JALANDHAR: The Jalandhar District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) on Thursday organised a special medical camp for women inmates and their children lodged in Kapurthala Modern Jail.

The Jalandhar District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) on Thursday organised a special medical camp for women inmates and their children lodged in Kapurthala Modern Jail.

The camp was inaugurated by District and Sessions Judge Kishore Kumar who also apprised the women inmates of their social rights and duties.

A team of doctors headed by Dr Gurmeet Kaur Duggal, District Family Welfare Officer Jalandhar and another team from the Kapurthala Civil Hospital carried out the screening of women inmates.

The child specialists accompanying the teams also diagnosed the children lodged inside the prisons along with their mothers.
