Addressing the long-standing issue of drinking water supply in Sandhu Nagar locality, Mayor Rampal Uppal and Deputy Mayor Vicky Sood inaugurated the laying of a 5-kilometer-long drinking water pipeline. The project, which is estimated to cost Rs 3.25 crore, aims to provide a sustainable solution to the area’s water crisis. AAP leader Harji Maan and SDO, Water Supply, Pardeep Chottani were also present on the occasion.

Speaking at the event, Mayor Uppal and Harji Mann emphasised the Punjab government’s commitment to ensure 100 per cent drinking water supply to the residents of Phagwara. They stated that all pending developmental projects in the constituency will be completed soon.

Mayor Rampal Uppal highlighted that Sandhu Nagar had been facing a severe shortage of drinking water for a long time. However, with the swift execution of the project, residents will soon get uninterrupted access to clean drinking water. He assured that all development projects across different wards will be carried out on a merit basis, ensuring equitable progress for all.

Several prominent leaders and officials were present on the occasion, including Gurdeep Singh Deepa, Krishan Kumar Hero and councillors Pritpal Kaur Tuli, Jasdev Prince, Ravi Sidhu, Vijay Basant Nagar, Ankush Ohri and Arjun Sudhir.
