Drug addicts steal keys from railway tracks in Bhogpur

JALANDHAR: A tragedy was averted when the movement of trains coming from Pathankot to Jalandhar was suspended for nearly an hour on Wednesday after the keymen at Bhogpur railway station found out the absence of some keys from railway track that are used to tighten or loosen the railway lines.

A tragedy was averted when the movement of trains coming from Pathankot to Jalandhar was suspended for nearly an hour on Wednesday after the keymen at Bhogpur railway station found out the absence of some keys from railway track that are used to tighten or loosen the railway lines. 

SHO Government Railway police (GRP) informed that drug addicts steal the keys usually. 

“The investigation is being done by the Railway Protection Force Mukeria. On getting the information, the RPF officials and we reached at the spot and informed the station master after which the trains were asked to stop,” he said.
