DSO writes to Police Commissioner over wrong parking outside Hansraj Stadium office

The District Sports Officer (DSO), Jalandhar, has written to the Police Commissioner complaining that people were parking their cars in a wrong manner outside the office of Hansraj Stadium, creating problems for those reaching or going out of the office.

District Sports Officer Gurpreet Singh is also going to meet the MC Commissioner with a request to remove the footpath from outside of the office so that they could have their own parking.

“We want our own parking outside the stadium. Right now, it gets difficult for the players and the parents to move freely in and out of the complex. “When any sports equipment arrives in a vehicle, it gets difficult for the vehicle to enter smoothly. On Monday, I had to wait for 30 minutes for my vehicle to take out because of the wrongly parked vehicles,” the DSO said.

He said he would hand over the letter to the Municipal Corporation Commissioner as well. A coach from the department also said that the authorities concerned must take notice of this issue that has been creating a big problem for everyone. — TNS

As per information, it is not for the first time that the DSO has taken up this issue, he had raised this matter earlier also.
