The five-day Nature Fest 2026, organised by the Hoshiarpur district administration at Lajwanti Sports Stadium, was inaugurated today by MP Dr Raj Kumar Chabbewal, who lit the ceremonial lamp, calling it a platform to showcase the district's natural, cultural, and tourism potential. Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain and Mayor Surinder Kumar were also present.
Dr Raj Kumar highlighted that the festival aims to raise awareness about Hoshiarpur's rich natural heritage, cultural legacy, major tourist attractions, and environmental conservation, while introducing the public, especially youth, to the district's resources and boosting local tourism. The festival will feature a vibrant mix of activities, including Punjabi folk culture, traditional dances, student performances, handicraft exhibitions, self-help group stalls, food and farmer markets, kite flying, musical evenings, jungle safaris, night camping and stargazing, open mic sessions, fashion shows, cyclothons, bird watching, forest discovery trails and kids' carnivals.
Over the five days, special attractions include a singer night by Prabh Gill on February 15 and a grand singer night by Gurdas Maan on February 17, along with awards and cultural performances. DC Jain urged residents to attend with their families to support environmental conservation and promote local tourism.
