A flag march was conducted in the city by DSP Omkar Singh Brar, aimed at strengthening public confidence and reinforcing security measures ahead of the elections.
The march saw the participation of senior police officers, including SHO Inspector Palwinder Singh of Nurmahal Police Station, Sub-Inspector Harminder Singh Sandhu of City Police Station, and Sub-Inspector Dilbag Singh of Sadar Police Station. Moving through key areas of the city, the officers interacted with residents, advising them to exercise their right to vote fearlessly while cooperating with the police in maintaining peace and order.
The initiative is part of a broader strategy by the Jalandhar Rural Police to prevent any untoward incidents during the election and ensure that citizens feel safe while casting their votes. The authorities emphasized that the public support is crucial for a smooth and transparent electoral process, urging everyone to report any suspicious activities and follow Covid-19 guidelines where applicable.
By proactively engaging with the community through such measures, the police aim to create a secure environment, fostering trust between the administration and residents ahead of the local body elections.
