Four people were killed in separate road accidents in the district. According to information, Ram Das of Nasran village told the Sadar police that his son Prince was working as a chef in a cafe near Shimla Pahari. On March 7, he was returning home from work when an unidentified vehicle hit him near Islamabad. Prince was first taken to the Civil Hospital in an injured condition from where he was referred to the PGI, Chandigarh. He died during treatment there.

In second incident, Mehar Singh of Fatehpur village told officials of the Hariana police station that his son Tanveer Singh (12) was returning to village from Bhunga. A tractor-trailer hit his son near Kabirpur and he died on the spot. The police registered a case against tractor-trailer driver Daljit Singh of Fatehpur.

In third incident, Jagdeep Singh of Kandiala village in Tarn Taran district told the Garhshankar police that his nephew Pawandeep Singh (19) of Kanda Nanaksar was going to Anandpur Sahib on a bike. When he reached Garhshankar-Anandpur Sahib road, a bike, driven on the wrong side, hit him. His nephew was referred from Garhshankar hospital to Amritsar hospital in an injured condition where he died during treatment.

In fourth incident, Raees Ahmedof Jwalapur Haridwar told the Dasuya police that his brother Waris was coming towards Dasuya railway station. While crossing road, a car passing by hit his brother. His brother was referred from Dasuya hospital to Amritsar hospital in an injured condition where he died. The police registered a case against car driver Kuldeep Singh, a resident of Simbal Camp, Jammu, in this connection.
