Jalandhar firing horror: Bike-borne assailants fire 10 shots outside doctor's house
The police have begun an investigation on the basis of CCTV camera footage
Gunshots were fired outside the house of a doctor at the Santokhpura locality in Jalandhar in the wee hours of Saturday.
As many as 10 rounds were fired outside the house of Dr Yashpal, who is a veterinarian posted at Moga. The incident took place at 1.40 am when the doctor and his family were inside the house.
Two-three youths came on a bike and shot from a pistol at his car and his house.
The police reached the spot and started an investigation on the basis of CCTV footage from the area. Bullet marks were spotted on the outer wall of the doctor's house, gate and his car parked outside. The family has said that they had no rivalry with anyone.
ADCP, Investigation, Jayant Puri said that police teams were trying to identify the accused and nab them at the earliest.
