The Kapurthala Health Department has been honoured for the second time at a state-level event organised under the PCPNDT (Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques) Act, after emerging as a top-performing district in Punjab for its favorable sex ratio.

The district has maintained its leading position for the past three years, with the number of girls recorded higher than that of boys — an achievement viewed as a significant indicator of social progress.
