Sana Ansari, a Class VII student of Sant Baba Hari Singh Ji Model School, Mahilpur, and a trainee at HDCA Centre, has been selected for the ICSE Board Under-17 National Cricket Team, bringing pride to the Hoshiarpur District Cricket Association (HDCA).
HDCA Secretary Raman Ghai said the achievement has created a wave of happiness in the association. He added that Sana’s success will inspire girls from rural areas to take up sports and pursue excellence with dedication.
Ghai added that Sana has been training at HDCA for the past three years and has already delivered impressive performances at the Under-15 level. He credited her progress to consistent hard work under the guidance of district women’s senior coach Davinder Kaur Kalyan, junior coach Nikita Kumari and trainer Kuldeep Dhami.
He expressed confidence that Sana Ansari, a promising young cricketer from Hoshiarpur, will bring laurels to the district at national and international levels in the coming years.
HDCA president Daljit Khaira, district coach Daljit Singh and other coaches also congratulated her on the selection and extended best wishes to her.
