3 liquor bottling plants inspected

Chandigarh: To check interstate smuggling of liquor and ensure strict compliance of the provisions of the Punjab Excise Act, 1914, (as applicable to UT), the Excise and Taxation Department on Monday conducted inspections at three bottling plants, their six wholesale suppliers and two liquor vends. “Difference will be notified and strict action as per law will be taken if violations are detected,” said an official.

Bank donates wheelchairs to PGI
